Growing up, I often believed that life would fall into place once I reached certain milestones.

We convince ourselves that everything will be better once we finish school, land that dream job, start the business we've always dreamed of, get married, or build a family.

But then, life happens.

You are not progressing fast enough, the “milestone” doesn’t come, or things just don’t unfold the way we envisioned.

Frustration sets in.

We start thinking happiness is just around the corner - when we get that school acceptance, when we buy a nice car, or go on that long-awaited vacation.

But here’s the truth: There is no perfect time for happiness. If not now, then when?

Alfred D. Souza once said, "For a long time, it seemed to me that life was about to begin—real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to get through first, some unfinished business, or a debt to pay. Then life would begin. It finally dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."

Time doesn’t wait, stop putting happiness on hold.
