  • No one wants to cold call — that’s why you should do it.
  • Figure out how to build without a lot of money first.
  • When in doubt, default to generosity.
  • Your first 3 customers are the hardest. Scramble, scrape, beg, whatever it takes.
  • Always have the hard conversation before signing anything.
  • Never reinvent the wheel — just make it roll faster.
  • Move fast, but take detours.
  • Revenue alone means nothing, cashflow is king.
  • Systems scale. Hustle burns out.
  • Never outsource what you don’t understand.
  • You’re not too good for grunt work. The best founders still take out the trash.
  • Hire for proof, not potential. You don’t have time for “figuring it out.”
  • How to build momentum? Find an “enemy” to push against.
  • The fastest way to learn business? Sell something. Daily.

PS. This summer, we are going to tackle pressing global issues and drive innovation in regions (such as your own community) where it is needed the most. Want in?

We run a summer cohort for ambitious youth (high school and undergrads) to work directly with world-class founders while learning from Silicon Valley leaders.

You can also explore purposeful opportunities through our Impact Internship Opportunities Database.

Get Curious.

But the way you see the world — what you think is possible, what you assume is normal, what you believe is valuable — that becomes concrete faster than you realize. Not because you choose it. But because you absorb it. And...
